This morning I was sitting on the balcony as the night sky was beginning to lighten into day, enjoying the cool air and listening to the sounds of the world awakening. I’m surrounded by beautiful live oak trees that are a haven for all sorts of birds that flit from branch to branch and sometimes stop long enough to call out to each other.
I opened up my Records before I went out on the balcony because it can be enjoyable to experience everyday things from the perspective of the Akasha. There’s a certain heightened sweetness that comes forth which seems to pique my awareness to new levels. So even though I’ve sat on the balcony many times before and have listened to birdsong countless times, this morning it seemed as if I were more in the flow of their vocal reverie, like being a part of it somehow.
I have often wondered what it would be like to truly understand what birds are “saying” to each other when they call back and forth. They appear to be very specific in their communication, trading sounds back and forth, one “speaking” and the other waiting until it’s their turn to respond, changing the inflection of their voice at times and continuing back and forth in conversational style. And while you may argue that their brains are too tiny for that, I can’t help but feel, in the light of the Akashic Records, that it’s not their brains I’m engaging with.
Try it for yourself sometime. Go outdoors, say the Pathway Prayer to help you enter into the Heart of the Akashic Records, close your eyes, and just listen…
