Love Holds No Grievances

In today’s daily lesson for A Course in Miracles (ACIM), we’re to focus on “Love holds no grievances.” There is no difference between those we deem to be big ones versus those we think of as minor. So when I peruse my relationships and see that yes, in fact, there are some minor grievances, the very fact that I still hold onto them lets me know I’m not experiencing love.

And so I forgive…myself first, because that’s really where healing takes place, and secondly the other person, because my ego always wants to place blame “out there” somewhere.

A Course in Miracles continues to bring me longer, more enduring states of peace with what is, and I look for books that are related in theme to inspire that in me. This weekend I got to spend quite a bit of time with Gary Renard, author of Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality. Now there’s an inspiring story. If you’re not familiar with his work and you have found ACIM a bit difficult to work through, I encourage you to read Gary’s books. I’m looking forward to his third one arriving on the scene soon.

Love holds no grievances, and so I am let off the hook…where I never was in the first place. As the Course reminds us, “You who were created by Love like Itself can hold no grievances and know your Self.” My deepest desire is to know myself and to thereby know Love with a capital “L.” Those moments when I do, it feels like I actually understand my immortal reality.
