Up front, know that I can’t be completely unbiased when it comes to reviewing Linda Howe’s new book. Too much water under that bridge, given my being a teacher of her work. That said, I choose to share what I experienced in the reading of her second offering, Healing Through the Akashic Records: Using the Power of Your Sacred Wounds to Discover Your Soul’s Perfection.
If you want to learn how to read the Records, go to Linda’s first book. This one’s for those of us who find inner exploration to be our lifeblood. If you are sincere about learning who you really are, underneath all the masks, this is the book for you. It’s filled, chapter by chapter, with exercises to explore in your Records that will deepen your spiritual connection to your Master’s, Teachers and Loved Ones, and consequently, yourself. Progressively, from meditation to meditation, Linda offers questions to consider that will continually shift you into ascension, where “our relatively dense human selves join with a significantly lighter Divine Spirit—and profound energy is generated.”
The result of your efforts will be healing (no surprise there). This is accomplished through a four-step progression that Linda leads the reader through, from awareness of self, to self acceptance, appropriate action, and then choice. We’re guided to look more deeply at ourselves, and then to venture into personal awareness through relationship with others. As with all of Linda’s work that I’ve encountered, there is a sensible, linear-appearing process to lead you into heightened states of awareness in very manageable ways that do not overwhelm.
The book closes with her taking the reader through the “Ascension Matrix,” which was one of the best classes I ever took with Linda. Here she gets into the real heart of the matter: how to move forward in life with greater ease and acceptance so that, as Linda says near the end of her book, “…as you become a peaceful, free, and happy person, you will become an agent for the very same transformation in the world.”
I’ve seen that happen for myself and my clients. Maybe now it’s your turn?
