I’m back from Chicago and the five-day intensive Akashic Records Teacher Training with Linda Howe. She’s a gifted teacher, a funny woman, and a loving human being whom I’m honored to have as a mentor. Yes, she’s got that no-nonsense mid-western sensibility (not much airy-fairy there!) and she calls ’em like she sees ’em, but that’s just fine with me. We’re kinda like that in Texas as well!
It’s hard to put into words all the ways those days affected me. But my clients are noticing a new level of healing and I’m certainly feeling it personally myself.
So just what the heck are the Akashic Records? (I sorta feel like if someone says “Akash,” I should respond with “Gesundheit!)
Anyhow, back to the Records: You’ve got ’em, I’ve got ’em, we’ve all got ’em.
In this realm of the Records, entered into through a very lovely, simple prayer, who we are from a Soul perspective and who we are through the myriad lifetimes, is recorded. And if it’s pertinent to what’s going on in your life today, some information gets relayed to help you integrate any fractured parts, so that you are whole.
Say whut?
Here’s an example: I was in my Records, looking for resolution to a long-standing, somewhat painful relationship in my life. What I saw was another lifetime where I was this person’s mother, and I was violent to him. It shocked me to my core…the picture was so clear, so present.
Then I saw another lifetime where this person was abusing me, and I thought, “Oh my God! We just keep trading roles.”
So how does that help me?
I realized that there is no difference between us…that one lifetime I’m the victim and another lifetime I’m the perpetrator, and vice-versa. So how to resolve the relationship as it is today? All I know is that none of the details matter anymore. I feel released. I don’t look at him as the one who has done me wrong anymore. And I’m left only with love, compassion, and understanding. Maybe we’re done with hurting each other.
I’ll be writing lots more about the Records as I explore this brave new (ever existing) world. Come along, won’t you?
